Optical Illusions

These are fun....

The cowboy's silhouette makes sense with two different interpretations. Can you flip it back and forth?

Stare at the red dot long enough, and the grey stripes will disappear.

Money, Money, Money!

I love this quote from The Secret.

"You have got to feel good about money to attract more to you. Understandably, when people do not have enough money they do not feel good about money, because they don't have enough. But those negative feelings about money are stopping more money coming to you! You have got to stop the cycle, and you stop it by starting to feel good about money, and being grateful for what you have. Start to say and feel, "I have more than enough." "There is an abundance of money and it's on its way to me." "I am a money magnet." "I love money and money loves me." "I am receiving money every day." "Thank you. Thank you. Thank you."

50 Cent (((Almost))) Gets Robbed

50 Cent's ridiculous 52-room Connecticut mansion was broken into this morning -- according to law enforcement, two men were arrested ... one of whom cops found drinking wine inside a closet.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, they received a call around 6AM from security guards at the mansion -- once owned by Mike Tyson -- about a suspicious car in the driveway. Cops showed up and discovered two men in the residence ... but the second was a little harder to find -- because Alexander Hernandez (red shirt) was hiding away in a closet, pounding a bottle of wine he allegedly pilfered from 50's place. According to cops, the two suspects entered through an unlocked door -- and were in possession of marijuana when police arrived to the home. Both men were arrested and held on $50,000 bond.

The guys who were arrested inside 50 Cent's Connecticut mega-mansion weren't trying to steal anything -- they just wanted to get hammered in the lap of luxury ... at least that's what they're telling people. TMZ spoke with the sister of Alexander Hernandez -- the guy who was found drinking wine in Fiddy's closet when cops arrived yesterday -- who tells us Alexander is claiming he and the other suspect just wanted to "hang out" at 50's place because they're both huge fans.

She adds ... Hernandez is claiming he never tried to steal anything from inside the house -- they only wanted the "thrill" of getting inside. As we previously reported, cops say both men were inside 50's pad

and in possession of weed -- when police responded to the home. Alexander's sister also tells us family members are concerned about her brother -- because he's still in police custody and could possibly miss his newborn baby's first Christmas.

WATCH THE LUNAR ECLIPSE ONLINE IN THE MORNING WITH ME HERE

LUNAR ECLIPSE HERE IN TEXAS!!!
(((AND WELL THE REST OF THE US TOO BUT WHO CARES ABOUT THOSE OTHER SMALL STATES)))

If you live in North America, you will have a great opportunity to see a total lunar eclipse on December 21, 2010.   So get the coffee ready and plan on pulling an all nighter because you won’t want to miss this one!

On December 21, 2010 at 1:33 am Eastern Standard Time (EST) – 8:17 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) – the Moon will enter Earth’s penumbra or partial shadow. You will see the moon dim and begin to turn a reddish color.  At 2:41 am EST, the Moon will enter the Earth’s umbra or full shadow.  This is when the total lunar eclipse begins.
The total lunar eclipse will last until 3:53 am EST – which is over an hour of total eclipse viewing time!  The show’s not over yet though because the Moon won’t pass completely out of Earth’s shadow until 5:01 am EST.  Check out MrEclipse.com.  This website has a great diagram of the event.

Lunar Eclipse

So why does a lunar eclipse occur?  When the orbits of the Earth, Moon and Sun are lined up just right, the Moon will pass behind the Earth and enter the Earth’s shadow.  The Earth’s shadow blocks out most of the light from the Sun and the Moon goes dark!  Lunar eclipses always occur when there is a full moon.

Since the moon is traveling 2,300 miles per hour through the Earth’s shadow, the total eclipse can last up to 107 minutes.   So…you’ll have plenty of time to see it and photograph it.  If you get any great pictures of the event, send them to us and we’ll post them on the site.

A Kardashian Christmas

The Kardashian group is taking some heat after a Christmas photo was posted on the web and Yahoo today. Geez the comments were so negative. I personally like to watch the show. I love all the clothing in this pic and I don't think I've ever seen Kim in an outfit I didn't like. If nothin' else she's got her style down to a T. I think the show is entertaining, but I don't really care for Khloe cursing in front of her mother or the younger girls like she does. I think the two youngest girls are beautiful and maybe I'll get them in a Honey BEE swimsuit one day in the future!!! I also have to say despite all the negativity that they get, everyone definitely is still "Keeping Up with Them" and hello they are making $$$ off of it!!!

Chelsea Lately: Nicki Minaj

I absolutely LOVE this dress and the shoes!!! This is kinda similar to my New Year's Eve dress I ordered. I just need to find some shoes to go with my dress now.

And I'm still saying I need to get a swimsuit on Nicki. Something very crazy and out there to match her style..

It is Already SPRING in the Fashion Magazines!!!

Is it just me or does anyone else feel how I do about experiencing one season before we start the next??? I'm all for being prepared and as a fashionista I guess I am expected to feel differently but I don't. Maybe it's because I live in Texas and we only get a month of winter weather. I have to cram all my coats, and boots, and furs all into this one month or Winter wear so when it's not even Christmas yet I am definitely not thinking of my Spring wardrobe!!

But for all of you who are afraid of cold weather... here's what's gonna be in and out for Spring 2011.

IN: RUFFLES AND RIBBONS
OUT: EDGY METALLICS (Wear these NOW while it's still cold out)

IN: POPPY CANDY-COLORED BAGS
OUT: HEAVY EMBELLISHMENTS (Once again... Wear these NOW! You can still do it. Put spikes EVERYWHERE!!!)

IN: FLARED TROUSERS (These are hanging around from last Spring, but not something I participate in)
OUT: EXAGGERATED HAREM CUTS

IN: CITRUS AND OTHER ELECTRIC TONES (YEAH these are the colors of my swimwear line for 2011)
OUT: WASHED OUT COLORS (Wear your washed out colors to sleep in so you can have a spa atmosphere at home and I feel like pail colors are more calming and peaceful but only wear these at home next Spring!)

IN: LUXE LOAFERS
OUT: FUSSY SLINGBACKS

IN: STRONG, SMART ENSEMBLES (Which I think you should do EVERYDAY before you leave your house)
OUT: BIG BABY DOLL SILHOUETTES (UNLESS of course you are pregnant then you can do it all day)

Hope this has been useful to everyone who hates the cold here in Texas and where ever else you live but for me and my house... it's still Winter attire for as long as I can wear it.

Goodnight

Erykah Badu's Guide to the Music Industry

Throwback video from 2006 of how to make it in the music industry. This is funny too and kinda makes you think..... Not that many chicks were getting the butt implants in 2006. Maybe they saw this exaggerated video and took it real serious in 2010. Hey I'm not naming names.....

Check the video out here to get the code if you wanna share it!

Fira by Night

I plan to enjoy an evening walk alongside the rim of the Caldera in Fira, with the volcano being right across me this next summer. Where are some of your dream vacations that you want to go on? Or where have you been that you believe is more amazing than this picture?

Mine dream is here in Santorini, Greece. I wanted to go for some time now. Has anyone ever been here? Give me some insider tips if you have.

Real Estate Info For Potential Sellers

When putting your home up for sale, here are a few things to think about:

1. A fresh eye
Selling your home can be a very emotionally charged process. You will naturally be attached to your property and may not see the work or changes necessary to make it more desirable to buyers. Always have someone who you trust to be honest with you to take a look at the place. Whether it’s a broker or someone else who’s opinion you trust, they will be able to put things into a different perspective for you and point out things you might not have noticed. This will help you stage it properly to garner more serious interest.

2. When time is not a luxury
There are instances in which sellers try to sell their property on their own in order to save themselves the extra cost of the broker’s commission. If time is not a luxury, that may not be the best route. While you may be able to advertise your property in the more traditional ways (newspapers, signage, Craigslist etc.), it is often costly. Brokers will pay to advertise your property on many sites you may not have access to. Between industry networks, their own websites and various accounts with public listings websites, brokers have a huge network which they can efficiently utilize while reaching a broad audience. This way your home can come up in a search done by a broker on his or her listings service, as well as any of the myriad real estate websites directly communicating to buyers. More often than not, buyers seek the help of a broker. By eliminating a broker you are actually eliminating a large group of potential buyers who are primarily seeing broker listed properties.

3. Bigger isn’t necessarily better
When selling your property your first instinct may be to contact the biggest brokerage firm with the intent to give your listing to the most reputable broker there. However, that may not always work in your favor. Whether you use a corporate brokerage or a boutique firm, look for someone who is reputable and pays attention to detail. Regardless of the type of brokerage, you want your broker to hold 1-2 open houses a week and follow up with any inquiries from any potential buyers. Selling in this market can be nerve wracking for some so you want a broker with enough patience to answer any and every question and to be able to hold your hand the process if necessary. The most important thing to keep in mind is that any broker you work with will have other clients but you don’t ever want to feel like one of many.

4. Your taste may not be theirs
When preparing your property for an open house, it is important to remove as many personal items as possible. Be sure to make any necessary repairs and clear the home of any clutter to help show off its size. While you might consider that 9-foot steel and marble sculpture a “statement piece”, to a potential buyer, it might not convey the space of a room well. You never want a buyer to be distracted by art work or bold wall colors. You want the walls to be a neutral shade of white and the furniture to be staged as openly as possible. It’s also important to consider the importance of making buyers feel comfortable in your home. Buyers hate to feel like they are intruding and often this awkward feeling prevents them from being able to make a full assessment of the property. For example, many people feel uneasy in a room with a prominent cremation urn or nude portraits of the current owner; while they may be meaningful and tastefully done, these deeply personal items are best kept from view during an open house. Touring a house or apartment can be awkward for some people and everyone involved should take steps to minimize uneasiness. Buyers should be able to see their own possibilities within the space.

5. A Picture is worth a 1000 words
Do not allow your home to be marketed without photos. People prefer visuals to a description any day. When photos are taken of the apartment, ask to see them before they are placed in any ads. Make sure the picture is not pixelated; you want it to look clean and polished. A broker should hire a photographer to shoot the home and, if possible, pay additional to have it shot in HD. There is too much competition on the market for your home to not look its best!

Social Networking

As we end 2010, we have become obsessed with social networking. With 500 million people on Facebook all day, every day have we lost face to face social networking??? What are your thoughts??? And don't get me wrong I love seeing where my friends are checking in at, who's there with them, what they did while they were there, and of course, what they ate and a very nice picture of their plate.

(SMH and LOL)

I love that you guys check on my facebook every day to see how I am, but can I still get a phone call every now and then? I do like to hear your voice sometimes as opposed to only "stalking" each other online...
