The competition for best celebrity Halloween costume is heating up, but Kim Kardashian emerged last night as a clear front-runner. The newly married 30-year-old looked incredible as Batman's alluring enemy Poison Ivy at the Midori Green party in New York. Kim was hosting for the melon-flavoured liquor brand and therefore encouraged to go along the green route for her costume.

Stolen sidekick: Kim arrived with Jonathan Cheban as her Robin. The red wig so associated with the DC Comics character complemented Kim's olive skin perfectly and made a refreshing change. With make-up pared down, Kim allowed the colours to do the talking and finished the look off with gold accessories and shoes. The flourish of leaves slanting above her almond eyes set the fantastical ensemble off perfectly.
