Justin Bieber's hair sells for $40,668, old haircut memorialized in ice »

We got some beef after our last Justin Bieber haircut post, but we're not afraid to try again!
So the Biebs cut his luscious locks and gifted them to Ellen DeGeneres in an autographed container. Today it's been reported that package sold for $40,668 and will be donated to the Gentle Barn Foundation, a charity that rescues and rehabilitates animals in need of care.
The winning bidder? Online casino GoldenPalace.com, which is kind of weird but whatever. (Now that you have it, what're you going to do with it?)
To put this in perspective, DeGeneres recently sold Elvis Presley's hair for $15,000, Adam Lambert's underwear for $10,000 and one of Gwen Stefani's costumes for $5,000.
Now if that's not the most important thing that happened today (perhaps anywhere, ever), I don't know what is.
Oh and then there's this: An ice sculpture of Bieber's head (with the old doo, mind you).
But seriously folks, I like his new haircut. How about you? (via US)
